The Tourist (2010)

The Tourist is an amazing movie. It's slow, but you won't get bored. I assure you. Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie were both awesome, and the twist and turns in the movie will make you drool for more.  Jolie is all class, and she has this aura every male would feel the need to turn their heads and take a good look at her.  Depp on the other hand is fantastic in his role, and making you clueless with his always 'blur' look.  One thing I must tell you, you should not believe what you see and don't mistake this for an action packed movie because it isn't action all the way.

As far as I am concern, this is a MUST WATCH MOVIE for 2010.  An awesome.. awesome movie...

Gulliver's Travels [2010]

The movie does not 'wow', but it does entertain.  You'd be smiling with the scenes, but you won't find your tummy aching from laughter. The storyline was cool enough, a little far from the original classic, but the changes are welcomed.  Unfortunately though, the movie is good and safe for kids, which also means there are a lot of silly scenes.  From an adult point of view, the ending was rather disappointing, but the kids would be happy. I for once felt it could be better.  I watched the movie in 3D, and I felt it was a waste of 3D technology as 2D would be sufficient.

Tron Legacy (2010)

The movie itself is awesome, which is expected, but was rather predictable at the end.   You know, the hero wins and gets what he wants?  However, I enjoyed the graphics and special effects and wished I had watched the movie in 3D.  The fact is, there is nothing much to shout about the movie as it wasn't as good as Iron Man or X-men.  However, it is my belief that for December, this is the one movie that shined.

The Social Network (2010)

The Social Network is the first of many movies coming about the birth, yes, you guessed it.. FaceBook.  The No.1 Social Network in the world made it to the big screens, with huge success.  While the thrills of the movie are hugely reserved for the middle to end of the movie, the start seems rather too fast to catch, literally.  The movie itself prevails well, but nothing special can be brought forward about the movie itself except the fact that it is derived from the start of Facebook.

If you ask me, better rent a DVD, watch this online, borrow a DVD from a friend, or download it from some online source as watching it at home is still satisfying.  No 'wow' factor, except for the evidence of betrayal of friendship.

At the end of the movie, I wanted to close my Facebook account. Seriously. (but I didn't anyway).
